CLEAN YOUR CARPETS YOURSELF with HOOVER MAX EXTRACT 60 review

Now most of my house is carpeted and when we moved in, we had planned to rent a carpet cleaner.  Of course we were unable to cause of time and money.  So since we have been here, we have vacuumed the carpets and used deodorizers and carpet cleaning products.  Some of the old stains were not removed with these products unfortunately.

So when I was offered the opportunity to review the Hoover Max Extract 60 cleaner, I squealed in delight.  This was my opportunity to get my carpets cleaned!

MY THOUGHTS

I was like a kid on Christmas morning when I looked on my front porch and saw my new Hoover.  Then I got worried that it would be hard to put together.  I mean look at it, it looks like it has a ton of pieces and possibly a lot of tricky instructions.  Well, I was in for a huge surprise!  It was so simple to put together and I had it together in under five minutes ( part of that time was looking for my screwdriver to put the handle on with).

SO since all my kids started school this year, I knew during the day would be the perrfect time to try it out.  On their first day back, I loaded up the tank with hot water and filled up the soap dispenser which is super easy since it has fill lines on the tank.  Then I plugged it in and began on my hallway which I thought would not be too bad.  The machine is simple to push.  Yes, the machine is kinda bulky but it is a deep cleaner after all so that is to be expected in my opinion.  The trigger to release the cleaner is easy to use.  After a few minutes of going back and forth slowly alternating with dispensing cleaner and picking up the dirty water, I was done.

I was amazed at how dry the carpet was.  Now the carpet was not completely dry but damp.  This is because as the machine is picking up the water, it is also blowing out hot air to aid in drying.  I was so impressed by this.  I mean I have used the commercial cleaners that you rent at local stores and the floors do not get dry til the next day completely.  My hallway carpet was dry in about an hour.  I was so excited.

Of course the ultimate testimony of the product was the contents of the "dirty" tank.  Here a couple pictures of my end result of just my small hallway...

Look how nasty that water is.  I was so surprised that there was that much dirt in such a small area.  Apparently my normal vaccum cleaner is not cutting it since the Max Extract 60 picked up a lot of cat hair in the dirty water.

I am so pleased with the Max Extract 60 and recommend it to everyone.  Yes,  it is a little pricey ( over $200) but it is worth it since you do not have to rent any of those expensive carpet cleaners or hire professional cleaners.  Definitely worth it to me since it gets the unseen dirt up and also leaves the carpets and house smelling clean and also helps remove stains that I thought could only be removed with new carpet!!!!

Now the Max Extract is available online at Target.com, Hoover.com, and Amazon.com.  SO if you have a lot of carpet or high traffic carpet areas, check out this deep cleaner.  You will not be disappointed!

I received a sample of this product to facilitate my review, but my opinions are entirely my own.

  2. People generally spend a quite lot of money on high quality carpets. When carpets are cleaned on a regular basis then they stay as good as new for a long time. Another important motive behind cleaning the carpets is to maintain a healthy atmosphere at home or work. A dirty carpet is bound to develop an uneasy atmosphere. It is advised that the carpet cleaning job must be done at regular intervals of six months.
