Fairy Tales Hair Care was created over 20 years ago in the Fairy Tales Salon in Hewlett, NY. For years, parents would ask the stylists what were these products that made their children’s hair so soft and manageable. But our stylists just smiled and said it was our secret recipe! The Fairy Tales Hair Care line was launched nationally in 1999 with great success! Within one week of our launch, Rosie O’ Donnell was showing off her bottle of Rosemary Repel Shampoo on her talk show. We were a hit! Now I am a huge fan of natural products especially for my kids.  I mean with all those chemicals ot there you can not be too safe.  That is my first reason why I love Fairy Tale products.  Next is that they work amazingly on my youngest daughter's hair ( who has easily tangled hair).  The leave-in spray was amazing on her hair.  Also they smell great and my daughters love the smell of then products.  Another great factor is the conditioner does not make their hair greasy and I even tried it on my hair which gets oily easy and it was not greasy.

MY THOUGHTS

As some of you know I love My Little Pony and have since I was a little girl.  I love that they have updated it again for the next generation - my daughters!  My daughters were so excited when we opened the envelope and they saw the dvd.

My daughters love watching the show on the HUB and now they have some of their favorite episodes to watch whenever they like.  My daughters love all the characters especially Applejack and Rarity.  Now sometimes i have a hard time watching my kids fav shows but this one I do not mind and I honestly do not think my son minds them either lol.  Okay he is not a fan of the show but he tolerates it better than their other girlie shows as he puts it.

Now all three of my kids loved the bonus first episode of Pound Puppies ( "Yipper Caper").  So it is really like you get 6 episodes of great cartoons for your little one.

This dvd would make a great addition to any little girl's collection and would also be a great addition to an Easter basket. The dvd was released today and is available where dvds are sold at mass retailers and online at Amazon.com for $ 9.99 ( a great bargain in my opinion).   So be sure to grab a copy of it just in time for Easter.

ORIENTAL TRADING COMPANY CEO SAM TAYLOR goes "Under" on "UNDERCOVER BOSS"

Now I am sure most of you ahve at least heard of "Undercover Boss" that airs on CBS now on Friday nights at 8PM EST.  If you have not, here is a little about the show...

Now I love this show cause it makes CEOs aware of the smaller guy who is the heart of a company in my opinion.  And yes, I have to admit that I have even cried at some of the stories from some of the employees of the companies.  I think this show is great that is connects the CEO in such a unique way to his employees.

Now I am not sure how many of you know Oriental Trading, but I love their catalogs and products.  I really love the fact that they over bulk products.  This makes it so great for birthday parties and Vacation Bible School and teachers to be able to get enough product for an affordable price.  Well, I am super excited to announce that their CEO ( Sam Taylor - shown below ) will be on an upcoming episode of Undercover Boss airing on March 9th.

Internet issues

Okay so the past few days I have been a little absent from posting.  That has mostly to do with my internet.  It has decided to work when it wants to.  At first I thought it was my router acting up and followed directions to test that and after Saturday I ruled it out.  We are now thinking it is the main line that comes into our house or the dsl line from the jack to the modem.  We are testing both and hopefully an answer will be realized this week.  I am hoping like maybe by Wednesday.  Either way I will post when I have an available window too.  Thank you for your patience and keep your eyes peeled from some great reviews and giveaways coming asap.

MY THOUGHTS

I absolutely love Puss N Boots and I knew I had to review the movie that is all about how he became Puss N Boots.  My whole family was thrilled when we received the movie and could not wait to watch it together.  This movie is great and my only complaint is that it is not long enough - lol!.  Honestly I do not know who liked it more me or the kids.  But of course I am biased cause I am a huge fan of him.  I even have a stuffed animal of him. 

But honestly the movie is great for all ages.  Kids will love it cause well it is a cartoon and funny.  The great thing though is that parents can enjoy it too since it does have some adult humor in it as well.  It is a great movie for families to enjoy together.  We also loved the all-new adventure featuring "The Three Diablos".  I think my daughtes love it more than the movie itslef.

We were also fortunate enough to get a movie viewing kit with the movie which is shown below...

The kit included 2 masks of Puss N Boots and Kitty Softpaws, SunMaid Raisins, 2 packs of ACT II popcorn, some "golden eggs", "Magic Jelly Bean", and a glass water bottle.  My kids loved the movie pack as did I - I claimed the glass water bottle of course.  We are planning on having a viewing party with some family and friends so they can all see how much fun this movie is.

Now as a woman, I love the Butt Bench especially when I get out of the shower.  I use my bench to sit on to put on my lotion or sunless tanning cream.  I have also used it to sit on while I shave my legs.  It really has come in handy with this and it also makes a great shelf to store your shampoo bottles and such on.

Now of course I have 2 little girls who still take a bath and who could get hurt if they played on the bench.  There is a simple solution to this, just take the bench out.  Installing and uninstalling the bench is simple and takes seconds.

MY THOUGHTS

My youngest daughter loves Dinosaur Train like most young kids do.  I also have to admit that I like the show too and wish it had been on when my son was little cause he would have loved it ( huge dino fan ).  So imagine my little girl's excitement when I handed her the dvd to watch.  She squealed and ripped it open so she could see the baby dinosaurs and eggs. 

Immediately after she put it in, all you heard was her singing the theme song ( DINOSAUR TRAIN!) which I have to admit gets stuck in my head quite often.  She was glued to the tv and would come running for me to see certain parts of it.  Since her first viewing, she has watched it several more times and I am sure she knows every word almost.  So she gives it 2 thumbs way up!

The dvd is already out and available where dvds are sold and online at Amazon.com for $ 10.49.  This movie would make a great Easter basket addition since it has an egg theme to it.  So run out and grab a copy today so your little one can climb aboard the DINOSAUR TRAIN!

PENGUINS OF MADAGASCAR : OPERATION : GET DUCKY dvd review

Those wacky Penguins are back for eight exciting egg-ventures featuring their newest pal, Ducky, and a few bunny friends. After Marlene discovers a lost egg, the Penguins volunteer to egg-sit until they can find its mother. When the egg hatches the Penguins put Ducky into Penguin training, but King Julien is jealous and wants to raise the duckling to be his second-in-command.

My family loves the penguins so we were thrilled for another dvd of them.  Now we had not seen most of the episodes on here so the kids of course loved that.  I have to say my daughters and I loved Ducky.  How cute is a baby duck wanting to be a spy!  We laughed outloud the whole time.  If you love the Penguins then you will definitely love Ducky (who is a mixture of all 4 penguins). 

The dvd is already out and available where dvds are sold and also online at Amazon.com for just $9.99.  You can not beat that kind of price.  Also I think that since it has a duck on it, it wold be  great Easter basket present.  So grab a copy today and put it in the kiddos Easter basket.

"Monsuno" debuts tonight on Nicktoons at 8

Larry the Cable Guy and Brady Reiter from the all-new movie Tooth Fairy 2, have joined with National Children’s Oral Health Foundation: America’s ToothFairy^® (NCOHF) to help at-risk children receive essential oral health services and education.   The duo created a Public Service Announcment (PSA) which teaches children the importance of good oral health care.  Dental health professionals from across the country will get the exclusive first look of the PSA when it debuts at the America’s ToothFairy Celebration of Smiles event  February 23, 2012 at the Chicago Hyatt Regency-McCormick Place.

THE LORAX dvd review

ABOUT THE DVD

Dr. Seuss’s The Lorax is the classic TV special that tells the tale of how an enterprising but greedy villain named the Once-ler, strips a forest of its lush Truffula trees, bringing them to near extinction for the sake of profit. 

The story begins with the Once-ler, a faceless businessman who lives alone in a sad, gray wasteland.  He recounts how he first became obsessed with the Truffula trees’ potential to make him rich and how the Lorax, an endearing and wise little forest creature, tried to warn him that his greed was making him crazy.  

It’s the Lorax’s job to “speak for the trees,” the wondrous Truffulas, that make up the beautiful forest in which various wildlife live, including Brown Bar-ba-loots, the Swamee-Swans, the Humming-Fish and the Lorax himself. The Once-ler, bewitched by the beauty of the Truffulas, greedily chops them down so he can mass produce versatile garments, called “Thneeds” out of the Truffula’s colorful tufts. As the trees swiftly disappear, so do the Brown Bar-ba-loots, the Swamee-Swans and the Humming-Fish. The wise old Lorax continuously warns the Once-ler but his words of wisdom are for naught as the “Thneed” business booms and the Once-ler is blinded by greed. What will it take for the Once-ler to learn his lesson? Will the Truffula trees become extinct or is there hope for regeneration?

MY THOUGHTS

Now I absolutely love Dr. Seuss especially now that I am a mom.  I simply love the messages Dr. Seuss always has to offer and The Lorax definitely has one ( and I love the rhyming!).  I am always thrilled when a Dr. Seuss classic is brought to the screen or dvd .  

My 3 children all love Dr. Seuss and they all loved The Lorax.  They really loved the bright colors which is always a hit in our household with all of us.  The greatest thing though was that all three of them got the message loud and clear.  We have watched the dvd several times now.  Something about Dr Seuss just makes you happy so we have to watch it more than once.

This movie is a must have for any movie collection and any Dr Seuss fan.  The movie is currently available where dvds are sold at mass retailers and online at Amazon.com for $  12.99.  So be sure to rush out and get your copy before its too late , then be sure to plan a movie date!

Ok the reason I am telling you this is because I stumbled upon a wonderful product that is currently entered into the contest - Miss Stephanie's Potions.

MY THOUGHTS

Now I really wished I had had this product when my son was little.  He saw a commercial once for a scary movie and kept me up all night.  He was convinced a monster was after him.  I just know if he had had Miss Stephanie's Monster Under the Bed Repellant, he would have slept fine.

Now I received the above potion along with 2 other potions ( Werewolf Be Good and Vampire Be Good) and also the great smelling Essence of Fairy Dust bubble bath and body wash (all shown below).

My 2 daughters loved the smell of the sprays but were most excited about the Essence of Fairy Dust bubble bath and body wash.  They loved the fact that is brings them good dreams so much that my oldest daughter did not get up at all because she wanted to make sure her good dreams came true! 

Now they also loved the sprays and "secured" every door and window with them immediately upon me openign the package and sharing it with them.  Their favorite spray to use was the Under the Bed Monster Be Good spray.  Of course they loved them all.

Now I simply love the fact that the products are all natural.  I have been trying to get better at purchasing better natural products for the family.  The other thing I love is that if my daughters have a bad dream I can whip out the sprays and they instantly feel better after a few squirts here and there.  Also their room smells great afterwards plus they love using the sprays and feel so BIG!

MY THOUGHTS

My daughters love chuggington especially my youngest.  So she was thrilled when I opened up the mail to find the latest dvd from Chugington - "Brewster's Little Helper."   My nephew also loves Chuggington since he is a huge train fanatic. 

I personally love that the show teaches some great lessons and can keep my daughters attention so she can actually learn them.  I also love that their is a female train as well since I have 2 daughters ( my daughters love this too).  The dvd has six episodes and each one of them help teach kids a very important lesson like getting help when you need it. 

This is definitely a dvd to add to your collection if your kids love trains and especially if they love Chuggington.  It is also great if you want to help your kids learn some valuable lessons.  The movie is available now where dvds are sold and online at Amazon.com fro $ 10.49.  So get on board and grab a copy today for the littel one in your life.

MY THOUGHTS

I absolutely love the Homework Caddy and wish I had had it since my son started school.  I received the Fuchsia and Zebra print Caddy for both my daughters since my son is more responsible and can keep up with his stuff better.  

I love how it will fit behind the door if you choose to hide it but I think it is nice enough to be seen. I choose to put the caddy on the front of the door so that we could keep up with it better.  It has definitely made things easier to keep up with.  Also my daughter loves using it which is an added bonus.

MY THOUGHTS

My daughters are no exception to being swept up by pillow pets mania.  They love them.  I have to agree they are cute and quite handy especially when there are sleepovers or we have a family movie night.  Pillow Pets make it easy for them to lounge in the living room floor.  The only problem with all this pillow pet love is that they get so dirty being transported everywhere.  This is where the petjamas come into play.  

My daughters each received one.  My oldest daughter received the Pink Princess Plush and my youngest daughter received the Plush Plum Purple (both shown below).
