My favorite thing about the Holidays is spending time with my family.  One way we all spend time together is by watching Holiday themed movies especially the Classics like Here Comes Peter Cottontail.

I remember watching this movie on tv as a child with my parents.  So I really love watching it with my kids and keeping the tradition alive. My two daughters really loved this movie and even my son ( getting all 3 to agree on a movie is hard to say the least!).  While I watched the movie, I was taken back in time to when I used to watch it and it's still just as good now as it was then!

I definitely recommend this Classic be added to your movie collection and start a tradition of watching it every Easter with the kiddos!  So if you need an extra something for the Easter basket this year, grab Here Comes Peter Cottontail.

I mean this is so stinking cute!  I know my whole family will get tons of use out of him.  I decided to give him to my fiancee for a couple reasons.  The first one was I didn't want to hear the kids fighting over one getting him and not the other two.  The next reason is my fiancee works outside doing manual labor all day and will probably be using him the most.  AND the final reason is well, my fiancee raises Sheep.  I mean it is only fitting that a man who has raised and breed sheep for years to have his very own sheep water bottle!

When I opened the package and saw him ( I say him but it is probably a girl.  Oh well, I think it is a boy!) , I fell in love with how stinking cute he is.  I mean he is soft and so simply adorable that my daughters had a fit over him as much as I did!  I had to pry him away from them.  I had to try it out before I give it to my fiancee; you know so I could do a thorough review or that is what I will say!  LOL  The water bottle works wonderfully and I wonder how I survived 3 pregnancies and all without it. RISE OF THE GUARDIANS dvd review JUST IN TIME for EASTER

Looking for a movie to add the kiddos' Easter basket; then Rise of the Guardians is a great choice...

Based on William Joyce's the Guardians of Childhood book series, Rise of the Guardians is a gorgeously animated film about Boogeyman Pitch Black's attempts to spread darkness and fear throughout the world and the guardians' attempts to foil him. Charged with the duty of watching over the children of the world, guardians Sandman, North, Tooth, and E. Aster Bunnymund are loved by children everywhere. When the Man in the Moon appoints Jack Frost to be the newest guardian, the other guardians doubt that Jack can be of much help against Pitch, especially considering that the children don't even believe in Jack Frost's existence. But when Pitch prevents Tooth from collecting the children's teeth, keeps E. Aster Bunnymund from hiding eggs on Easter, and turns the children's happy dreams into nightmares, the guardians realize that they're going to need all the help they can get. The children stop believing in the guardians one by one, and the question that remains is what can one fun-loving, somewhat immature boy with the power to freeze everything he touches possibly do to counteract the fear and darkness enveloping the world?



MY THOUGHTS

Rise of the Guardians is one of the movies my kids and I have been anxiously awaiting to come to dvd ever since we saw the trailer.  I was so excited when I got the opportunity to review the dvd with my kiddos, but I was even more excited when I got a package containing some AWESOME Swag!  Check out the pictures below of what I pulled out of the box...

I know it is kinda hard to make out all the goodies in the bag so I am including a list below...

My kids and I were so excited with all the goodies.  Next week we are planning on planting our seeds as soon as we get done with our small kitchen remodel so I can put the flowerpot in my windowsill.  Also I am going to paint it with them first.  We are also putting up the Nightlight in our bathroom.  

Of course after seeing all the goodies, my kids were biting at the bit to watch the movie finally.  So we gathered the necessities - Popcorn, Pillows, and of course a few of our favorite people to watch it.

I have to say I loved how unique the characters were and everyone seemed to have a different favorite.  I love the Easter Bunny!  My son loves North aka Santa.  My oldest daughter loves the Tooth Fairy while my youngest didn't have a favorite really ( it kept changing through the movie LOL).  My fiancee preferred  the Easter Bunny too.  Of course we all loved Jack!

Besides loving the characters, I also loved how beautiful the animation was.  I am always a huge fan of beautiful films and animation.  I also love the message behind this movie  I mean slowly Pitch tries to rob kids of the "Guardians".  I recently had to deal with kids at my daughters' school telling my oldest that Santa was not real.  She was heartbroken and after much convincing we all were able to show her he was real.  This movie helped bring that home even more.  

I have to say this movie is a must have for every family and it would definitely make a great addition to Easter baskets this coming Easter.  The dvd is available at most retailers nationwide and also at online retailers like Amazon.com.  Right now you can get the blu-ray/dvd/digital copy of the movie for just $ 14.99.  So share the magic of the Guardians with the kiddos in your life and grab your own copy!

MY THOUGHTS

I have always been a huge fan of inspirational true story movies so I was really excited when I got the chance to review Chasing Mavericks.  First off the scenery in the movie is beautiful and breathtaking!  You immediately want to go to the beach while watching this movie or at least I did.  I also really wanted to try surfing after watching this movie.  Of course not massive Mavericks.  But when you are not that great of a swimmer, it is usually advised to stay off the board!  Well, surfing is on my bucket list with swimming.

Now back to the movie...

This is a great family movie with a wonderful inspirational message for all.  All the actors did an amazing job with their characters. And you may laugh at me but I did get a little teary eye during it.  ( I am kinda a crybaby at true story movies! ) Of course I think this is a great movie for those true story fans but it is also great for movie lovers in general.  The dvd would make a great addition to any movie collection.

MY THOUGHTS

I love sharing the classic shows with my kiddos.  The great thing about that is that my kiddos seem to love them as much as I do and did.  Duck Dodgers is no different.  My three kids really liked the show especially my son!  He has since then made it his go-to dvd to watch at bedtime.  And honestly No matter how many times he watches an episode, I still hear him laughing out loud.  

One of the things I really like about the show is that parents and kids can both enjoy the show.  MY whole family was laughing out loud the whole time!  My daughters really enjoy how things never go as planned but still manage to work out somehow for Duck Dodgers.

MY THOUGHTS

My favorite Great Dane is back with another whodunit movie!  I have to say whenever we get the opportunity to review a Scooby movie in my household, I don't know who gets more excited - Me or the Kiddos!  It's probably Me to be truthful.  I am a huge Scooby-Doo fan and have been all my life.  

This movie is really good to me since it is filled with twists and unexpected turns.  I won't tell you what they are so that you can fully enjoy the movie, but I was kinda surprised at one part.  Often times I try to solve the mystery along with those meddling kids and so do my kids and this mystery was really good.  We have watched the movie twice along with bonus features and I have to say Scooby is one of those shows I really do not care if my kids repeat it constantly.

Now the moment my whole family saw the trailer of Wreck-It Ralph, we knew it was a must see for our whole family.  My son was excited to see it since it was about video games and well my daughters thought Vanellope was so cute.  And of course I wanted to see cause it looks like a stinking cute movie!

When we all sat down to watch the movie, it was a big hit!  We have watched the movie several times.  In fact, my son used it several times as his bedtime movie and still has not gotten tired of it.  One of my favorite things about the movie is that it actually features some of the villains from classic video games like Bowser.  My youngest daughter was so excited to see him since we love all things Mario in our household.  My son's favorite thing was the different video games of course!

Of course one of the really great things about the movie is that it teaches a great lesson and is a great family movie.  This movie is a great addition to any family's movie collection and is a must have in my opinion!  The dvd is available now at stores nationwide and also at online retailers like Amazon.com.  Right now Amazon has the 4 disc set for $ 27.99 so grab a copy of it today.  It would make a great Easter basket filler that the whole family will love!
