ABOUT THE DVD

Dr. Seuss’s The Lorax is the classic TV special that tells the tale of how an enterprising but greedy villain named the Once-ler, strips a forest of its lush Truffula trees, bringing them to near extinction for the sake of profit. 

The story begins with the Once-ler, a faceless businessman who lives alone in a sad, gray wasteland.  He recounts how he first became obsessed with the Truffula trees’ potential to make him rich and how the Lorax, an endearing and wise little forest creature, tried to warn him that his greed was making him crazy.  

It’s the Lorax’s job to “speak for the trees,” the wondrous Truffulas, that make up the beautiful forest in which various wildlife live, including Brown Bar-ba-loots, the Swamee-Swans, the Humming-Fish and the Lorax himself. The Once-ler, bewitched by the beauty of the Truffulas, greedily chops them down so he can mass produce versatile garments, called “Thneeds” out of the Truffula’s colorful tufts. As the trees swiftly disappear, so do the Brown Bar-ba-loots, the Swamee-Swans and the Humming-Fish. The wise old Lorax continuously warns the Once-ler but his words of wisdom are for naught as the “Thneed” business booms and the Once-ler is blinded by greed. What will it take for the Once-ler to learn his lesson? Will the Truffula trees become extinct or is there hope for regeneration?

MY THOUGHTS

Now I absolutely love Dr. Seuss especially now that I am a mom.  I simply love the messages Dr. Seuss always has to offer and The Lorax definitely has one ( and I love the rhyming!).  I am always thrilled when a Dr. Seuss classic is brought to the screen or dvd .  

My 3 children all love Dr. Seuss and they all loved The Lorax.  They really loved the bright colors which is always a hit in our household with all of us.  The greatest thing though was that all three of them got the message loud and clear.  We have watched the dvd several times now.  Something about Dr Seuss just makes you happy so we have to watch it more than once.

This movie is a must have for any movie collection and any Dr Seuss fan.  The movie is currently available where dvds are sold at mass retailers and online at Amazon.com for $  12.99.  So be sure to rush out and get your copy before its too late , then be sure to plan a movie date!

MISS STEPHANIE'S POTIONS review

Ok the reason I am telling you this is because I stumbled upon a wonderful product that is currently entered into the contest - Miss Stephanie's Potions.

MY THOUGHTS

Now I really wished I had had this product when my son was little.  He saw a commercial once for a scary movie and kept me up all night.  He was convinced a monster was after him.  I just know if he had had Miss Stephanie's Monster Under the Bed Repellant, he would have slept fine.

Now I received the above potion along with 2 other potions ( Werewolf Be Good and Vampire Be Good) and also the great smelling Essence of Fairy Dust bubble bath and body wash (all shown below).

My 2 daughters loved the smell of the sprays but were most excited about the Essence of Fairy Dust bubble bath and body wash.  They loved the fact that is brings them good dreams so much that my oldest daughter did not get up at all because she wanted to make sure her good dreams came true! 

Now they also loved the sprays and "secured" every door and window with them immediately upon me openign the package and sharing it with them.  Their favorite spray to use was the Under the Bed Monster Be Good spray.  Of course they loved them all.

Now I simply love the fact that the products are all natural.  I have been trying to get better at purchasing better natural products for the family.  The other thing I love is that if my daughters have a bad dream I can whip out the sprays and they instantly feel better after a few squirts here and there.  Also their room smells great afterwards plus they love using the sprays and feel so BIG!

CHUGGINGTON dvd - BREWSTER'S LITTLE HELPER review

MY THOUGHTS

My daughters love chuggington especially my youngest.  So she was thrilled when I opened up the mail to find the latest dvd from Chugington - "Brewster's Little Helper."   My nephew also loves Chuggington since he is a huge train fanatic. 

I personally love that the show teaches some great lessons and can keep my daughters attention so she can actually learn them.  I also love that their is a female train as well since I have 2 daughters ( my daughters love this too).  The dvd has six episodes and each one of them help teach kids a very important lesson like getting help when you need it. 

This is definitely a dvd to add to your collection if your kids love trains and especially if they love Chuggington.  It is also great if you want to help your kids learn some valuable lessons.  The movie is available now where dvds are sold and online at Amazon.com fro $ 10.49.  So get on board and grab a copy today for the littel one in your life.

MY THOUGHTS

I absolutely love the Homework Caddy and wish I had had it since my son started school.  I received the Fuchsia and Zebra print Caddy for both my daughters since my son is more responsible and can keep up with his stuff better.  

I love how it will fit behind the door if you choose to hide it but I think it is nice enough to be seen. I choose to put the caddy on the front of the door so that we could keep up with it better.  It has definitely made things easier to keep up with.  Also my daughter loves using it which is an added bonus.

The Homework Caddy comes in three other designs besides the Fuchsia and Zebra including Bright ( which is bold colors), Pastel ( which is pretty pastel colors), and Sports theme ( which features several sports ).  They cost $ 25.99 and can be ordered on their website here.   They are definitely worth the price and could also be used to help organize a teens room or even a home office if you like the themes.  I personally love the theme my daughters got.

MY THOUGHTS

My daughters are no exception to being swept up by pillow pets mania.  They love them.  I have to agree they are cute and quite handy especially when there are sleepovers or we have a family movie night.  Pillow Pets make it easy for them to lounge in the living room floor.  The only problem with all this pillow pet love is that they get so dirty being transported everywhere.  This is where the petjamas come into play.  

My daughters each received one.  My oldest daughter received the Pink Princess Plush and my youngest daughter received the Plush Plum Purple (both shown below).

 

They are super soft and easy to put on the pillow pets.  These would also be great to tell pillow pets apart if you had more than on kid with the same pillow pet.  Of course the best feature is that when these get dirty, you simply throw them in the washer.  It is that simple!
