In the epic action-adventure Snow White & the Huntsman, Kristen Stewart (Twilight) plays the only person in the land fairer than the evil queen (Oscarr winner Charlize Theron) who is out to destroy her. But what the wicked ruler never imagined is that the young woman threatening her reign has been training in the art of war with a huntsman (Chris Hemsworth, Thor) who was dispatched to kill her. Sam Claflin (Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides) joins the cast as the prince long enchanted by Snow White's beauty and power. The breathtaking new vision of the legendary tale is from Joe Roth, the producer of Alice in Wonderland, producer Sam Mercer (The Sixth Sense) and acclaimed commercial director and state-of-the-art visualist Rupert Sanders.
MY THOUGHTS
Now first let me say that the story of Snow White has never really been one of my favorite fairy tales. With that said, I liked this version of it. I really liked the special effects in this movie especially the ones featuring Ravenna (the evil queen). I also enjoyed the "dwarves" and the forest scenes which were simply beautiful. Of course I was hoping for a little more passion from Snow White and the Huntsman, which I think lacked a lot of chemistry. So this movie is not really a romance but is definitely action.
But the acting from Charlize as the evil queen steals the whole movie by far. She really makes her dark which is really what you want in an evil queen after all isn't it!!! SO if you are like me and never really cared for the story of Snow White, give this version a try. It might surprise you like it did me!
The dvd is available now where dvds are sold and also available online at Amazon.com for $ 19.96. I recommend this movie if you like actions. It could be a date movie since it combines action and fairy tales! So be sure to grab a copy today!

Thanks for the review! I've been curious to see what others think about this movie, especially because of Kristen Stewart. I am not a fan of hers at all, so that's pretty much why I was not interested in wasting my money in the theaters. A lot of my coworkers at DISH who did see it in theaters agree with you about Charlize Theron and some of the special effects at least. With those reasons, I've decided to give it a watch in the next couple of days when I receive it in the mail from my Blockbuster @Home package. At least I won’t be spending a bunch of money on something in theaters, if I don’t like the rental. :)
