2011 HOLIDAY GIFT GUIDE - CARS 2 dvd review

ABOUT THE MOVIE

In this sequel, we join Lightning McQueen and his friends in Radiator Springs.  A fancy new race car, Francesco Bernoulli, challenges Lightning McQueen to race in the first ever World Grand Prix. This race takes Lightning and his friend Mater the tow truck to Japan, Italy, and England. Everyone is excited for the Grand Prix. But instead of helping Lightning get ready for the race, Mater gets caught up in a super-secret spy adventure with all his friends in tow!

MY THOUGHTS

I loved Cars and so did my kids so we were all excited to see Cars 2.  Now I loved Mater so I loved all the scenes with him but I did miss the other characters that I fell in love with in the first one.  Still this movie has tons of laughs for kids and adults.  My kids enjoyed it and my daughters loved Ms. Shiftwell.  This movie is definitely worth seeing to me especially if you are a Mater fan.

Here are some cute recipes to go along with the movie.  Just click the picture below.

The dvd is already in stores and available online at select retailers like Amazon.com for $19.99.  So hurry and get your copy for the little Cars fan in your life for this Christmas.

  1. What kid can live without the magic of Disney and Pixar? Personally my kids and I loved the movie; Cars 2 put Mater as a hero in a different light and my kids liked it. It ended nicely. One way you can check it out again is by using the new Blockbuster Movie Pass. Right now if you switch to DISH Network you can get Blockbuster Movie Pass FREE for 3 months! There are over 100,000 titles to choose from. As a DISH Network customer and employee I can tell you that if you’re in the mood for the movie that’s not in your queue, that’s no problem! You can get a different title right now with instant in-store exchanges instead of waiting for the mail. (That’s something you can’t do with Netflix….)
