20 MULE TEAM BORAX review and giveaway

Borax is the common name for sodium tetraborate: a naturally occurring substance produced by the repeated evaporation of seasonal lakes.

20 Mule Team® Borax is 100% natural, and 99.5% pure (there is about a half of 1% of naturally occurring trace minerals). Once removed from the ground it is washed, dried, and boxed for consumers.

THE MANY USES OF BORAX

Borax is known for helping boost your laundry detergent, but it also has a lot of other uses from cleaning to fun ones.  I have included a few of those uses below...

  • Pest Control - helps kill ants and roaches.  You can pour it directly onto anthills to kill ants in your yard.  You can also mix it with sugar and water then dab a cotton ball in it and place where ants are to get rid of them in about 24 hours.
  • Preserve flowers - Take fresh cut flowers and place into a box then cover them with borax.  Let sit undisturbed for about 10-12 days. Borax will absorb the moisture and preserve their beautiful shape!
  • Deodorizer - can be used to make stinky sinks smell better and also soak up urine odor in mattresses if you have a little one who still has accidents late at night.
  • Flea Control - sprinkle over your carpet and vaccum will remove fleas and eggs.
  • Christmas Decorations - I searched Pinterest and found tons of these and they are simply adorable.  Simply use pipe cleaners and borax and water. I am definitely making these for next Christmas for my tree and as gift tags.
  • Make Silly Putty and Goop.  Recipes vary but can be found on Pinterest or Google search.  ( I have my own recipes for each featuring borax).
The list can go on and on like using Borax to help in dishwasher or scrubbing pots and pans.  SO many uses for such a great product!

MY THOUGHTS

I am a huge fan of natural products and have used Borax in the past.  I love the versatility of the product!  I mean how great is it that you can use the same product to remove the smell from your drains, help soften hard water while doing laundry, and clean toilet bowl ring!  We do have hard water where we live so I love the fact that Borax can help make our water softer while getting my clothes cleaner.

I am also planning on sharing a post at a later date showing how simple it is to make Crystal Snowflakes with Borax and am planning on doing a giveaway with that post as well.  Of course I will also be hosting a giveaway where one lucky reader will win a coupon good for a FREE full-size product of 20 Mule Team Borax at the bottom of the post - just look for the Rafflecopter form.

Now you can learn more about 20 Mule Team Borax on their website  and also sign up for their eNewsletter and enter any current promotions here .  You can also follow them on Pinterest as well.  And of course you can always follow them on Facebook for updates and such.  SO be sure to grab a box today and enjoy the many uses of Borax.  Of course don't forget to enter the giveaway for a chance to win a coupon for a FREE box of it!

*I received the above mentioned product solely for review purposes.  The above mentioned opinions are completely my own and completely honest.
