Arriving at her new college, Beca (Anna Kendrick) finds herself not right for any clique but somehow is muscled into one that she never would have picked on her own: alongside mean girls, sweet girls and weird girls whose only thing in common is how good they sound when they sing together. When Beca leads this a cappella singing group out of their traditional arrangements and perfect harmonies into all-new mash-ups, they fight to climb their way to the top of college music competitions.
MY THOUGHTS
I am huge fan of dance and musicals for the most part so when I heard about Pitch Perfect I was immediately excited. I mean I was really thrilled that the singing group was acapella since I have always loved those kind of groups since I was a young girl. I have to say the singing was amazing and I absolutely loved it.
Now the storyline is pretty simple. The girl acapella group's top rival is a boys group and yep you guessed it the leads fall in love. SO what does that mean for the groups and who will win the competition? Well, I am not one to spoil things so you will just have to watch the movie for those answers. But I will tell you that you must keep an eye on Fat Amy! She definitely steals the show.
I will say though that I was worried I would not like the movie that much, but I was wrong. I loved it and am planning to watch it again! I am also planning on convincing my fiancee he wants to see this too. I personally think that the movie is great for men and women. So grab a copy today and get ready to hear some great music!
The dvd is available where dvds are sold and at online retailers like Amazon.com for $ 16.99. You can still get it in time for Christmas if you choose the 2 day shipping from Amazon.
